Fatima Camara Souare spent her childhood and young adult years immersed in fine art. Growing up with immigrant parents from Guinea she learned early on the importance of hard work and self-expression. She enjoyed watching her mom get dressed up in vibrant bazins. Her fascination with African styling traditions inspired her to create one of a kind products like handpainted afro picks, braided shorts and leather headwraps.

She learned the foundation of the fashion industry while interning for American designer Tracy Reese. Throughout the years she has worked as a designer, illustrator and tailor creating custom pieces for clients at Nordstrom, Macy's, Levi’s and Harper Collins.

Fatima holds a BFA in apparel design from Rhode Island School of Design. She resides in NJ with her husband and 2 boys.
